Courses are designed for both beginners and experienced professionals. Our Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross - Cutting course covers the essential skill for maintaining and operating a chainsaw safely and efficiently.
For those looking to advance their skills, our Small Tree Felling course focuses on the safe and effective techniques required for felling and processing trees up to 380mm in diameter.

All courses conclude with a independent assessment, where successful candidates will be accredited with a City and Guilds/NPTC qualification.

Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross - Cutting.

Duration:
Three days including one day assessment.

Description:
Candidates will learn how to inspect, maintain and sharpen a chainsaw, also identifying that all safety features are in good working order.
Once the maintenance has been completed you will learn how to start and use the chainsaw safely and efficiently using a variety of techniques to cut timber.

Felling Small Trees up to 380mm.

Four days including one day assessment.

Cost:
£574 per person including City and Guilds/NPTC assessment fees.

Description:
Candidates will learn the skills needed to safely and efficiently fell trees up to 380mm. The course will cover assessing tree condition, planning safe felling operation, felling weighted/leaning trees and removal of hung up trees.
This course is suited to anyone who's occupation requires tree felling or those wanting to further their skills with chainsaws.

Ground Based Chainsaw Refresher
Duration:
One day including assessment.
​
Cost:
£250 per person including City and Guilds/NPTC assessment fees.
​
Description:
Refresher courses are for those already holding a qualification for which they wish to be up dated on - ensuring that their skills and knowledge are still up to date with industry best practise. Chainsaw maintenance and cross-cutting, and felling small trees up to 380mm courses will be delivered as part of a City and Guilds/NPTC accredited CPD Module. Candidates who achieve the minimum score will be issued a CPD Module Digital Credential, this will demonstrate their skills and knowledge are up to date with industry best practise.
